Ten Centerville Athletes to Sign College Commitments

Signing ceremony for athletes in baseball, basketball, diving, swimming, track, and volleyball.

Ten Centerville High School seniors are expected to put pens to paper on Wednesday (Nov. 12) to finalize their commitments for college athletics and academics.

Three swimmers, two volleyball players, two divers, a baseball player, a basketball player, and a thrower are set to take part in a signing ceremony.

All ten of the student-athletes are joining NCAA Division I and II programs. They are Swimmers Grace Hoffman (Miami University), Emma King (University of Akron), Nicole Schwartz (Eastern Michigan),  volleyball players Baylee Johnson (University of Southern California), and Emily Oglesbee (Lewis University,IL), divers Katie Polk (UMass), and Maddy Woods (West Virginia), basketball player Shannon Coffee (Stanford), baseball player Blake Zeller (Youngstown State), and thrower James Eblen (University of Cincinnati).

These are the first nine athletes in the Centerville Class of 2015 to sign letters of intent. Additional Centerville seniors are expected to do so in ceremonies that will be held in February. More information about the athletes who will take part in Wednesday’s ceremony and their respective college choices are to follow.
